Lake Mutanda is a picturesque freshwater lake located in southwestern Uganda, near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The lake is a popular destination for activities like hiking, canoeing, and exploring the islands.
The lake is surrounded by lush highlands, plantations, and terraced crops, with the Virunga Mountains forming a dramatic backdrop. Lake Mutanda features about 15 islands, some of which are inhabited and others untouched.
