Budongo Forest Reserve

Budongo Forest Reserve is one of the most biologically diverse and ecologically significant tropical rainforests in East Africa. Located in western Uganda, within the Masindi District, it forms part of the Murchison Falls Conservation Area (MFCA). It is managed by the National Forestry Authority (NFA) and covers an area of approximately 825 square kilometers.

Mabira Forest Reserve

Mabira Forest Reserve is one of Uganda’s largest surviving natural forests, located between Lugazi and Jinja along the Kampala–Jinja Highway, about 54 km east of Kampala. Spanning over 300 square kilometers, this tropical rainforest is a biodiversity hotspot and a vital eco-tourism destination.

It is managed by the National Forestry Authority (NFA) and is an important conservation area that supports ecological balance, wildlife, and tourism.

Mpanga Forest Reserve

Mpanga Central Forest Reserve is a 453-hectare (1,120-acre) natural equatorial rainforest located in Mpigi District, 37 km from Kampala, Uganda. It’s a haven for biodiversity, boasting a rich variety of plant and animal life, including unique tree species, primates, and numerous bird and butterfly species. 

Sipi Falls

Sipi Falls is a stunning series of three waterfalls located on the foothills of Mount Elgon, in Eastern Uganda, near the town of Kapchorwa. The area is known for its cool climate, lush greenery, scenic landscapes, and dramatic cliffs.

Sezibwa Falls

Ssezibwa Falls is a cultural heritage site and a popular tourist destination located in Mukono District, Uganda, about 20 miles from Kampala on the Kampala-Jinja highway. The falls are known for their scenic beauty, cultural significance, and the presence of various bird and wildlife species.
